The 2018 PGA Show was one of the best ever for The Peoples Clubs.  We have several big things to tell you about.  First things first, Fujikura will be releasing a new shaft, the Pro 2.0. This shaft will have a larger loading zone resulting in a better feeling shaft with the same characteristics as the original Pro shaft. This will definitely be a hot shaft for 2018!  The Atmos Tour Spec will stay in the 2018 lineup, thankfully!  They also released a new Atmos non tour spec shaft that is softer and will help the golfer with a slower swing speed to get the ball up in the air.

We were able to scope out and hit the new Graphite Design MAD shaft.  There will be two versions of this shaft, a regular with mid to high launch and spin and then a pro version with a lower launch and spin.  This shaft will also have a much better price point then the Tour Ad lineup. It should be closer to $300 and will be released in April.

We met with Victor Afable and discussed the new VA Shaft offerings.  VA Shafts are doing big things and best of all they are a fellow North Carolina company, based in Pinehurst, NC.  The first new offering is a beautiful matte black shaft called the Drago!  This shaft will be high launch and low spin, it should definitely be a winner.  Then there will also be a Raijin Black, more info to come on it.

KBS will expand its custom shaft offerings.  They are currently offering C-Tapers in gunmetal and a PVD Matte Black, both sets look truly amazing in person.  Email us to see these.  For 2018, they will continue to offer more finishes as well as engravings, labels, etc.  We are really excited to see just how far this program will go!

Miura Golf picks right up where they left off last year. They have several great new products planned for 2018.  They are planning a new Miura wedge, which is super clean and feels great and a 501 blade irons and the 601s as well — both of those will be real winners.   The 601s intrigue me the most…  Then finally they have several new putters coming out, the first of which, the KM-009, we have in stock now.

We were able to meet with the folks at Stitch Golf.  If you haven’t seen them yet you should definitely check them out, they are also based in North Carolina and make custom leather head covers, bags, and so much more.  We will be carrying a few select products, but if there is something you would like to see us get, just let us know.

The Peoples Club owner Will Peoples was able to meet with Mike Johnson, president of Piretti Putters.  We are super excited to announce that we will be carrying several Piretti putters on TPC and also on TSP.  We recently saw our first Piretti putter in person and needless to say, we were blown away.  Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, stampings, and finishes are all extremely impressive.  Those, combined with their great price point, should make our customers very happy.  We will be able to custom order a putter, so if you would like to discuss one, please email us.

We also were able to meet with Scotty Cameron and have a brief discussion with him about his Circe T tour putters.  Scotty was super cool with his fans, signing autographs and sketching pictures of putters, head covers, Circle T Logos, etc.  It was really cool to see. Bettinardi had no booth nor presence this year at the show.

We were able to check out some of the Tyson Lamb putters and accessories in person.  The following behind that guy is really insane.  Be sure to check out our facebook for some more pictures.  I heard a funny story, maybe a rumor, but supposedly Scotty and Tyson meet and had a short discussion.  Someone asked them to take a picture together but Scotty declined and said that wasn’t a good idea, great story nonetheless.

The company that we are most excited about for 2018 is Swag Golf.  They are a new putter/lifestyle brand that is going to disrupt the entire putter market.  We were able to meet with and have a great discussion with Nick Venson of Swag Golf.  They have some really cool things planned including an amazingly priced custom putter, some trendy new designs, never before seen head covers and so much more.  Check out this picture we found of The Buttsy and Kelly Flynn getting some head covers.  These guys are definitely going to be a major player in the game sooner rather than later. We will be carrying some of the new Swag Putters as soon as they are available. If you are interested in picking something up please email us.
