Cobra’s new KING Tour irons are the first Cobra irons made from Metal Injection Molding (MIM). Created specifically to feel softer than premium forgings.  The new Cobra King Tour irons are a player’s cavity-back with what pundits consider to be “traditional” lofts.

The new 2021 Cobra King Tour has a slightly shorter blade from the previous King Forged Tour iron based on comments from staff, the top line has been thinned out (a hair) and offset was increased to satisfy staff feedback.

MIM (Metal Injection Molded) manufacturing produces the brand’s softest and most precise wedges and add better feel and more consistency to your short game. Now available in all 3 grinds: Versatile, WideLow, and Classic.

Each wedge is created using a mixture of 304 stainless steel metal powder, which is injected into a mold. The metal is then heated in a sintering machine at an extremely high temperature, resulting in a more even grain structure than forged and cast wedges and the softest feel the industry’s ever seen. An excellent all-around grind for medium to firm course conditions. Heel and toe relief provides versatility to play shots with an open face, while a center notch keeps the leading edge closer to the ground without adding effective bounce.

According to Cobra’s VP of R&D Tom “TO” Olsavsky, “The King Tour iron is designed for the range of Tour players to single-digit handicaps. It slots in nicely between the pure MB type irons and Players Distance. It’s also a slight merger between Forged Tour and Forged CB shapes, so hoping to cover both players that would have chosen one of these 2 irons.”

The King Tour Irons with MIM Technology are available in a 4-PW set make-up in right hand only.
